Bart Hubbard  > Travel > Vegas Conference - November 2007
I attended and spoke (with Michael Gowan) at a healthcare Internet conference in Las Vegas. I had 4 nights there to have some fun.

Bart Hubbard > This was the bathroom in my room at The Venetian.
Bart Hubbard > It had a separate shower and tub.
Bart Hubbard > The king sized bed was very comfortable. There was a big flat screen tv on the wall opposite.
Bart Hubbard > There was even a little living room with another TV.
Bart Hubbard > The couch was pretty nice, as well.
Bart Hubbard > My view wasn't so great. I was on the backside of the hotel. The desert in the distance is cool, though.
Bart Hubbard > My first meal upon arrival was at Bouchon - Thomas Keller's restaurant in The Ventian. I had pan-seared fluke over saffron Israeli cous-cous with fingerling potatoes, chanterelle mushrooms, and lobster hollandaise sauce. Later on was a dark chocolate mousse.
Bart Hubbard > Michael had the boudin blanc (probably the last of the year, as they switch to boudin noir when it's cooler weather). It was made from chicken liver, veal, and a number of other light colored meats. Served with creamed potatoes and roasted prunes. It was excellent (you can see the bite he share w/me on the smaller plate).
Bart Hubbard > The canal in front of The Venetian. There were gondolas you could ride for big bucks.
